More homes are transforming rooms, garages, and other spare spaces as small or home office. However, this also means that a more secure, reliable, and affordable Internet network is needed. As you grow your enterprise in a limited space, you can make use of the AirRouter HP.
The AirRouter HP has gained a lot of attention from commercial users because of its value for a small price. It’s flexible as you can add or remove networks whenever you deem fit. You can convert it into a typical WiFi router, access point to share your wireless network, or bridge if you have more than one LAN network at home.
The commercial WiFi router has a very high gain antenna, which means the quality of the Internet doesn’t diminish at a specific distance. The AirRouter HP has a coverage that extends up to a little over 200 meters at a speed of 150 mbps. Even if you’re working in the bedroom, kitchen, yard, or anywhere else around the home, you’re sure that you’re covered and that you can tap on the Internet connection, as well as access files and devices. Moreover, at 150 mbps, you can already perform a wide variety of Internet functions including but not limited to streaming, e-mailing, and using instant messengers and VOIP. The router is also compatible with AirMax devices when you want to enhance throughput and network connectivity.
Boost your Internet output tremendously with a compact access point called PicoStation M2HP.
Omnidirectional 2dBi Antenna
The PicoStation M2HP uses an omnidirectional antenna, which is considered the most powerful since it means the device can now transmit and receive signals at any direction. This then provides your wireless network with a very stable and robust Internet connectivity. It also has a gain of 2dBi and a huge output power of 1000mW. It supports DHCP protocol and runs on an Atheros MIPS chipset with 400 MHz. The device also has a 32MB RAM and 8MB NAND Flash.
The access point is very convenient to set up. It already has some fastening strips when you need to integrate this to another technology within the wireless network. You also have the option to mount this on the wall for greater stability. The package includes a software CD for AirOS, which gives you a lot of freedom in the customization or management of the device remotely.
Versatile Network Design
Most of the Ubiquiti Network products have been designed to work perfectly with one another. The PicoStation M2HP can be used as an access point and added to a vast network composed of several NanoStation devices. When added, you can then extend your coverage without any drop on your signal. You can further boost the reach if you integrate an antenna. Though the device works on 2.4GHz, you can still maintain your throughput or greatly reduce the interference because you can easily switch channels and find one that is less crowded.
The PicoStation M2HP is now being used not only in buildings with several floors but also complexes with offices located in different directions or locations. It is an ideal device to use in campuses as well as neighborhoods that want to create a more comprehensive but reliable and useful wireless network for everyone.
If you’re currently using an AirMax CPE, adding the AirGateway is definitely not going to be a problem at all since it’s designed to complement. Just a few steps on adding the cables into the latter, and you’re good to go. When you need to boost its power or deliver the power output through fewer wires into your AirMax CPE, the best option is the AirGateway.
Various Networking Modes
The AirGateway can be used as a wireless device indoors, which you can then connect to the outdoor CPE. In the process, you’re able to bridge the two and offer great support for the many wireless devices and users. Because AirGateway is very small, it’s flexible and thus is easy to attach even on CPEs that are configured on the roof. It can also work as a switch, allowing two or more devices to communicate very well. It may also work as a router, providing 802.11b/g/n Internet connectivity at a frequency of 2.4GHz.
When you’re looking for a more practical setup for your small office or home office, you can make use of the AirGateway. Other uses of the device include being a station or an access point.
The AirGateway offers full support for different PoE adapter models from Ubiquiti. This way, you can take full advantage of the many benefits of power over Ethernet, including cost savings, power efficiency, and easy management. The PoE support is paired with ESD protector.
The small compact device also runs using the innovative AirOS software. It allows you to remotely configure and manage the AirGateway—in other words, you can do management through a browser. Other setting you can control include channel shifting, protocol support, monitoring tools, AAP (address allocation protocol), ACK auto-timing, and network access protection such as system log, DDNS, SNMP, and DDNS.
